Exploiting Young Minds: BLA’s Attempt of Turning Baloch Daughters into Suicide Bombers

BLA a separatist movement for Baloch rights or is another security threat to Pakistan. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), also functioning as Fitna al-Hindustan continues to wage a hooliganistic campaign of terror and propaganda against the state and its people.

In a remarkable intelligence-based operation, security forces successfully rescued a minor girl, Khair-un-Nisa from Turbat, who was being radicalized and prepared for a suicide attack in Islamabad. The timely action not only saved the innocent girl’s life but also prevented a major terrorist incident in the federal capital.

Khair-un-Nisa has now been safely reunited with her father. Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti, while addressing a press conference with the girl present, exposed how terrorist networks are exploiting youth, especially young women, through psychological manipulation, emotional blackmail, and radicalization.

This is not an isolated case. Recently, another young girl named Labia was also rescued from similar clutches. The BLA has visibly shifted towards using female suicide bombers. By targeting vulnerable girls from Balochistan, these elements aim to create chaos, generate sensational media coverage and destabilize the province while damaging Pakistan’s internal harmony. Previous cases include:

• Shari Baloch (April 2022) Attacked Confucius Institute at Karachi University.
• Sumaiya Qalandrani Baloch (June 2023) Targeted a military convoy in Turbat.
• Mahal Baloch (August 2024) Carried out a car-bomb attack on an FC camp in Bela.
• Mahikan Baloch (March 2025) Attacked a paramilitary convoy in Kalat.

In recent months, several terrorist plans were foiled due to timely and effective responses by security forces, during which 216 terrorists were neutralized.

These terror networks are part of a larger Indo-Afghan nexus, with India’s RAW accused of providing support through funding, training, and propaganda from Afghan soil. After repeated operational failures, the BLA has intensified disinformation campaigns on social media involving foreign-based handlers and India-linked accounts.

The true face of BLA as a terror network rather than a separatist movement has been increasingly exposed internationally. Australia recently imposed fresh sanctions on May 8, 2026, on the BLA and three senior leaders Bashir Zaib, Hammal Rehan, and Jeeyand Baloch designating it a terrorist entity. Pakistan has consistently raised the issue at the United Nations, urging the UN Security Council to designate BLA under the 1267 sanctions regime.

However, Pakistani security forces and law enforcement agencies have responded with professionalism and resolve. Through continuous intelligence-driven operations, they are successfully dismantling these networks and protecting the peaceful people of Balochistan.
