Qatari mediators returned to Tehran on Friday 30 October to push for a US Iran deal, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed official briefed on the talks who said the mediation is coordinated with Washington. The visit follows the draft peace plan Qatar presented on 25 October, which a senior Iranian official, also unnamed, called unacceptable while insisting Tehran would hold its nuclear position, according to Arab News. The Qatari foreign ministry has yet to issue a statement.
