Progressives Flock to Faiz Aman Mela

The 32nd annual Faiz Aman Mela celebrates the 112th birthday of poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. The event features performances and discussions. Artists and intellectuals address current political, economic, and environmental issues.

Renowned artists from across the country presented musical performances, poetry, theatre, and classical dances in this event, which continued from 1pm to 9pm. The Faiz Aman Mela discussed Faiz’s poetry along with current political, economic, and environmental issues.

Mohan Bhagat, Hadiya Hashmi, Anjum Shirazi, Tarannam Naz, Adeel Barki, Imran Ali Shaukat, Samson Salamat, Inayat Abid, Nasir Khan, Faheem Mazhar and Ali Mohsin were among the performers.

Sheema Kirmani and her 10-member entourage presented a classical performance based on Faiz’s life. The performance was well received by the participants.
