Gwadar Expressway Under CPEC

Construction of CPEC project East bay Gwadar expressway will be completed by 2021. Indicated by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. Similarly, according to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, the establishment of the CPEC Support Unit (CSU) and the development of the IT framework will be completed. Moreover, Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute at Gwadar has also been taken under notice.

Also, the project of Gwadar East Bay has been on hold due to unfavorable circumstances. As of now, the project shall be finalized by 2021.

Construction Details of East Bay

Furthermore, the sole purpose of the east bay is to provide Primary connectivity of the Mekran Coastal Highway (N-20) Port Free Trade Zone of Gwadar. Gwadar port will link up with the National expressway and trouble-free strategic transportation of export-import and goods.

Additionally, the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) is supervising the project. Also, the 6-way lane with a provision of 30 meters wide railroad corridor will be linking the port with the entire region side by side will provide a mode of smooth and safe transport.

Current Situation of Gwadar Port

Gwadar seaport is the only 16ft wide transport to Gwadar town at the West-Bay. The loaded shipment causes disruption for normal traffic as the route in one way. The infrastructure would work on E-commerce after the development of Information Technology (IT)
